Why?
I paint because I don’t have the words to clearly justify what I know. Painting opens a channel for me in which to express my personal insight and wisdom. The process of painting brings me to a world beyond language, where my soul can flow without restraints.
Painting allows me to explore the essence of an experience before it becomes clouded with the words that attempt to describe it. I use my work to capture the energy that manifested from particularly marvelous human experiences, illuminating and horrific. This is how I manipulate time, by freezing moments onto canvas that I crave to rest in longer. Creating gives me space to leave my body and become the true spirit that I am. My body turns into a vessel, an instrument, for the creative genius to possess, producing a rich mystical experience which translates itself onto the canvas.
My individual self, or ego, dissolves during the meditative practice of painting. I disappear and in place of me, the work cultivates a sense of true aliveness. I relate to painting as my first language, my magick power which grants me the potential to heal my heart, soul and whole being. It’s in my blood and it aids me in healing my lineage. Now I wish to share this healing life force with all other beings. With you.
