Drinking Sweet Sanity

Whether deeply in love,

Or in the midst of the darkest panic attack.

The mind has the ability to transport us places,

That do not exist.

And the ability to realize this state as false.

To instead find the path to sweet sanity.

To physically drink it in.

The connection to the body,

Our vessel that is existing in the now.

The present moment where peace often dwells,

Residing in the wide open spaces we choose to run from.

If only we could stay.

Realize that this is home.

We were built to reside here in the dwelling space of peace.

This sanity was created for us.

It is a birthright.

Yet we fear this beauty.

For the path to get there is not often spoken of.

It reeks of pain, it seeks to destroy.

Those brave enough to walk down,

The courage to shed the layers that were forced upon us without our agreement.

The lies we mask ourselves through.

If only we knew they did this to us on purpose.

To give us great pain. Only to heal it for all.

If only we knew there was a different way to move these bodies.

To dance with The Great Eastern Sun.
